8 free PDF tools, nothing uploaded

Free online PDF tools

This page gathers the Imagenati tools for PDF files: Merge PDF joins up to 20 files into one document, Split PDF cuts one file into parts, Organize PDF reorders, deletes and duplicates pages, Rotate PDF turns pages that open sideways, Compress PDF makes a file smaller, JPG to PDF puts up to 100 pictures into one PDF, PDF to JPG turns pages into JPG or PNG pictures, and Add Page Numbers to PDF numbers the pages of a file. Each works inside this browser tab, so the files you add are never uploaded, and all eight are free to use with no sign up and no watermark.

What to expect

What happens to your files

Merge PDF puts whole files together in the order you set, Split PDF does the opposite by page ranges, page by page or every few pages, and Rotate PDF changes only the rotation of the pages you pick. Organize PDF shows every page as a small picture you can move, copy or delete with a button or by dragging, and the saved file holds nothing that only a deleted page used. JPG to PDF places pictures one per page, a JPG without saving it again, PDF to JPG draws pages as pictures at 72 to 300 DPI, and Add Page Numbers to PDF writes numbers at the edge you choose, upright even on turned pages. Compress PDF offers a lossless cleanup that keeps every page as it is, Balanced, which saves again each picture it can make smaller and keeps the text selectable, and a strong mode that makes pages into JPG pictures, which leaves their text unselectable; a result that is not smaller is shown as larger. Each tool downloads an open source PDF library the first time you add a file and runs it in this tab, reading your files from your device, so there is no server copy to delete afterwards.

Every file is checked before any job runs. One that needs a password to open, or that carries an owner password limiting printing or copying, is refused with a message rather than processed, and a damaged file is named in the list with the reason.

The limits are practical ones. Merge takes up to 20 files, 100 MB each and 150 MB together; Split, Organize, Rotate, Compress, PDF to JPG and Add Page Numbers take one file of up to 100 MB; JPG to PDF takes up to 100 pictures of up to 50 MB each and 150 MB together; and no PDF file or result may pass 500 pages. A page drawn as a picture holds up to 16.8 megapixels. These limits keep a job within what a browser tab can hold, and there is no daily cap or paid tier. The libraries behind the tools are listed on the open source licenses page.
