Compress tools

Compress tools shrink JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF files without changing what the picture shows. Every compressor on this page runs in your browser using the Canvas API, so the file never leaves your device while it gets smaller.

Pick a compressor by format, or use the general Image Compressor if you are not sure which one you have. Each tool gives you a quality slider or a target file size in kilobytes, so you can trade a small amount of detail for a smaller file, or aim for the exact size a form or upload limit requires. Drop in more than one image at a time and download the results together as a ZIP file.

Compression works best on photos with a lot of detail, where a small quality drop is hard to see. Flat graphics and screenshots often shrink further with no visible change at all. If a file is already as small as it can reasonably get, the tool tells you instead of making it worse.
